The Mekong Delta
A journey to remember
Known as Vietnam’s “rice bowl”, the mighty Mekong Delta is defined by its lush, verdant landscapes and countless rivers, canals and streams. Boats, barges and floating markets traverse its waterways while its fertile lands are laden with coconut groves, tangerine plantations, pomelo farms and mango trees. Along the powerful Mekong River, Vietnamese, Khmer and Chinese families make salty or sour fermented fish or shrimp; a tradition handed down the generations.
